01 |
Arrive In
Kunming
Arrive in Kunming,
our guide will meet you at the
airport. After claiming your
luggage, you will easily find
our guide holding a welcome
sign with your name on it. Visit
the Western Hills by the Dianchi
Lake and the Daguan Park.
Western Hills: Located 15km
west of Kunming, Western Hills
is a range of four mountains
stretching over 40 kilometers
along the western shore of the
Dianchi Lake, looking like
a Sleeping Beauty with long
tresses trailing away to the
south. Totally cut on a natural
precipice, Dragon Gate is the
highlight of Western Hills.
Many inscriptions and steles
are found here and there in
Dragon Gate.
Daguan Park: First built
in 1682 by a monk, is known
for its longest antithetical
couplet in China.

02 |
Kunming
- Stone Forest - Kunming / (Breakfast,
Lunch)
After breakfast, drive 1.5 hours
(90 KM) to visit the Stone Forest.
Back to Kunming in the afternoon
and visit the Golden Temple.
Stone Forest: A massive collection
of grey limestone pillars, split
by rain water and eroded to their
present fanciful forms.
Golden
Temple: Originally built in
1604 during the Ming dynasty.
Built in 1890 with 250 tons of
solid bronze, the present temple,
6.7 meters in height and 7.8 meters
in width, is reputed as the largest
bronze hall in China. |

03 |
Kunming
- Lijiang (Breakfast,
Lunch)
Take morning flight to Lijiang.
Tour to the Jade Dragon Snow
Mountain. Visit villages of
Naxi people, the Lijiang Murals,
the 600 year old Ten Thousand
Blossom Camellia Tree at the
Yufeng Lama Temple. In the afternoon,
visit the Black Dragon Pool
in the Heilongtan Park and Lijiang
Ancient Town.
Jade
Dragon Snow Mountain: A
holy mountain for the Naxi people
that is located 15km north of
Lijiang city with an altitude
of 5600 meters (18,400 feet)
above sea level. Visit villages
of Naxi people.
Lijiang
Murals: Made in succession
from the early Ming dynasty
to the reign of Emperor Qianlong
in the Qing dynasty. These mural
paintings, with their fine and
smooth lines, bright colors,
vivid pattern and balanced and
harmonious composition are a
wonderful sight.
Heilongtan Park: Inside
the park, many ancient architectures
of the Naxi people scatter amidst
the lush trees, adding unique
view to this park.
Lijiang
Ancient Town: It is situated
on a plateau at an elevation
of 2,600m and is impressive
because of its scenery and lush
vegetation. There is no other
town in China like Lijiang which
incorporates the folkways of
so many people and the architectural
styles of both north and south
China.

Lijiang
- Kunming (Breakfast,
Lunch)
Visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge
and the First bend of the Yangtze
River. Take flight back to Kunming.
Tiger Leaping Gorge: Extending
for 15 kilometers from the Jade
Dragon Snow Mountain of Lijiang
to Haba Snow Mountain of Zhongdian,
Tiger Leaping Gorge, with a drop
of 3,000 meters, is believed to
be one of the world's deepest
canyons. The torrential Jinsha
River, roaring and crashing over
grotesque shaped rocks, produces
a thrilling and stirring sight
here.
First
bend of the Yangtze River:
The Jinsha River, the upper reaches
of the Yangtze River, rises in
the Qinghai Tibet Plateau and
flows southward. When the river
reaches Shigu Township of Lijiang
County, it makes an abrupt turn
and flows northward, forming a
great V-shaped bend reputed as
the First Great Bend of the Yangtze
River. |

05 |
Kunming
- Chongqing (Breakfast
+ Lunch + Dinner)
Transfer to the
airport for flight to Chongqing.
Our guide will pick you up from
the airport. Visit the Chongqing
Zoo and Ciqikou old street. After
dinner, board the Cruises for
a memorable voyage down the mighty
Yangtze River. |

Shibaozhai
(Breakfast
+ Lunch + Dinner)
07:30-09:30, disembark for an
excursion to Shibaozhai.
Shibaozhai was first built in
Qing Dynasty in 1750, the mountain
looks like a rectangular rock
with sheer cliffs, and the wooden
architecture that is built by
catch upon the cliff with a height
of 56 meters and 12 stories, standing
on the riverside. Back to the
ship and continue the cruise.
The Captain's Welcome Party will
be held in the evening. |

07 |
Three
Gorges - Sandouping (Breakfast
+ Lunch + Dinner)
07:00-07:30, sail through the
Qutang
Gorge, its
towering rock formations have
names which reflect their bizarre
shapes such as Hanging Monk Rock
or Rhinoceros Looking at the Moon.
08:00-09:00, pass the second gorge
- Wu
Gorge, celebrated
for its lofty Twelve Peaks which
almost blot out the sky. The guides
will talk about legend of historic
sites: Ancient Plank Road, Mengliang
Stairway and the suspended coffins
on the sheer cliffs.
10:00-13:30, disembark at Badong
and take a sampan tour to the
picturesque Shennong Stream. The
Shennong Stream is a tributary
carrying clear, cooler water into
the Yangtse. The "stream"
runs through steep gorges, in
which the ancient asian Bahu people
used to live, thousands of years
ago. Back to the ship and continue
the cruise.
16:00-17:00, pass the Xiling
Gorge. About
66 km long, it is the longest
of the Three Gorges and is entirely
within Hubei Province. This gorge
is full of shoals and rapid currents.
20:00, pass the 5-stage shiplock.
Dock overnight at Sandouping.

Sandouping
- Yichang - Guangzhou (Breakfast
+ Lunch)
08:00-10:00,
shore excursion to visit the
Three
Gorges Dam,
it is planned to be by far the
largest hydroelectric project
in the world. Back to the ship
and continue the cruise. Disembarkation
in Yichang
at about 13:00,
Our local guides will get on board
to meet you. Transfer to the airport
for flight to Guangzhou.
Upon arrival transfer to your

Visit the Dr. Sun Yatsen's Memorial
Hall, Chen Family's Temple and
Temple of the Six Banyan Trees
and Local market.

Sun Yatsen's Memorial Hall:
Dr. Sun has been respected as
Father of Modern China since he
fought unyieldingly against the
corrupt Qing government (1616-1911)
and led the 1911 revolution to
end feudal system and found Republic
of China (1912-1949), leading
Chinese people into a new era.
Chen
Family's Temple: Built in
the 1890s. Its windows, door frames,
and pavilions are lavishly decorated
with intricate carvings and sculptures.
It is now the largest and best
preserved and decorated ancient
architecture existing in Guangdong
province.
Temple
of the Six Banyan Trees: A
famous ancient Buddhist temple
that was built in 537 in the Liang
dynasty during the Southern dynasties
(386-581). |
