1. Tour Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival
On arrival at Beijing airport or railway station, you will be met by our guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of day is at leisure or explore the nightlife of Beijing on your own.
Day 02

Beijing (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)
In the morning, visit Tiananmen Square and then explore the Forbidden City which was the Imperial Palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties. This afternoon we will discover the exquisite Summer Palace. Enjoy the Beijing Duck Dinner.
Optional program in the evening: Peking Opera, or Kungfu Show or Chinese Acrobatics.


Tiananmen Square: Situated in the heart of Beijing, the square stretches 880 meters from north to south and 500 meters from east to west. Tian'anmen is the entrance gate to the Forbidden City and was built in 1417. On October 1, 1949, Mao Zedong, proclaimed the founding of the People's Republic of China on the Tian'anmen Gate Tower.
Forbidden City: For almost 500 years, this imperial palace served as the home of 24 Emperors and the ceremonial and political center of the Chinese imperial government. The construction of the Forbidden City took 14 years and was finished in 1420. UNESCO listed it as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1987.
Summer Palace: The largest, most beautiful and exquisite imperial garden in China. Mainly dominated by Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill, the Summer Palace covers an area of 2.9 square kilometers. There are more than 100 traditional architecture in the park; they include pagodas, temples, pavilions, waterside gazebos, halls, palaces, marble boat and stone bridges.
Beijing Duck Dinner: Beijing Roasted Duck is renowned as the most delicious food of Beijing. The duck is hung in the oven and roasted by flame burning from fruit-wood. The finished duck is characteristic with crispy skin, tender meat and the fragrance from the fruit-wood.
Peking Opera: Beijing Opera is deemed the national opera of China. The accompanying music, singing and costumes are full of Chinese cultural facts.

Day 03 Beijing (Breakfast + Lunch)
Take an excursion to the Mutianyu Great Wall, escape from the crowds and enjoy a leisure walk on the wall. After lunch, visit the Ming Tombs.

Mutianyu Great Wall: With has a history of more than 2,300 years, the Great Wall is one of the most extensive construction projects ever completed. Stretching 21,196 kilometers, this ancient defensive architecture winds up and down across mountains, deserts, grasslands and plateaus. The best-known and best-preserved section of the Great Wall was built in the 14-17th centuries A.D.. Mutianyu section is famous for its breath-taking scenery and is less crowded than the Badaling section.
Ming Tombs: The majestic mausoleums of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). Ming Tombs offers insight into imperial Ming Dynasty life, including stone thrones, tablet archway, Stone Figures, animal sculptures, ornamental columns and other evidence of Chinese culture and traditions. At present, only the Spirit Way, Dingling Tomb, Changling Tomb and Zhaoling Tomb are open for viewing.
Day 04 Beijing - Xi'an (Breakfast + Lunch)
In the morning, take a visit to the Temple of Heaven. After lunch, transfer to the airport for flight to Xi'an. Optional program in the evening: Tang Dynasty Dinner Show.

Temple of Heaven: A complex of Taoist buildings built in 1420 during the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). It is the place where the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties made sacrifices to Heaven and prayed for good harvest.
Tang Dynasty Show: A performance of Chang'an music and dances that was originated in the Tang dynasty of Chinese history over a thousand years ago.
Day 05 Xi'an (Breakfast + Lunch)
Today's excursion will take you to the Terra Cotta Warriors Museum, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Ancient City Wall.

Terra Cotta Warriors Museum: The underworld army of Qin Shihuang who was the first emperor and unifier of China (259BC-210BC). More than 8000 life-size terra cotta warriors, archers, horses and bronze chariots have silently guarded the emperor's tomb for more than 2,200 years.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda: Built in 652 A. D., the pagoda is a part of the Da CiĄŻen temple complex and is regarded as a National Key Cultural Relic. It contains a large volume of Buddhist scriptures, which were obtained from India by the eminent monk of Xuanzang who was a great translator as well as a famous traveler. At the age of 28 in 627 A.D., he travelled alone to India for the learning and studying of Buddhist scriptures.
Ancient City Wall: Built in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), it is the best-preserved defensive wall in China. The wall is 13.7 kilometers in circumference and 12 meters in height. A moat surrounds the wall. Over the moat, there used to be a huge drawbridge.
Day 06 Xi'an - Chongqing (Breakfast + Lunch)
Visit the Shaanxi Provincial History Museum and the Great Mosque. Transfer to the airport for flight to Chongqing. Our guide will pick you up from the airport. Visit the Chongqing Zoo and Ciqikou old street. After dinner, board the Cruises for a memorable voyage down the mighty Yangtze River.

Shaanxi Provincial History Museum: The museum, with a floor space of over 4,000 square meters, was opened in 1952. There are more than two thousand ancient artifacts on display. They are divided into three sections: Forest of Steles (the oldest and richest collection of such stone tablets in China), Gallery of Stone Sculpture, and Historical Relics.
Great Mosque: Built in 742 A.D., the mosque was restored in each of the Yuan (1271 - 1368), Ming and Qing Dynasties. The distribution of pavilions, halls, towers and platforms in the mosque is compact and exquisite, blending the traditional architectural styles of Islam and Han.
Day 07 Shibaozhai (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)
07:30-09:30, disembark for an excursion to
Shibaozhai. Shibaozhai was first built in Qing Dynasty in 1750, the mountain looks like a rectangular rock with sheer cliffs, and the wooden architecture that is built by catch upon the cliff with a height of 56 meters and 12 stories, standing on the riverside. Back to the ship and continue the cruise. The Captain's Welcome Party will be held in the evening.
Day 08

Three Gorges - Sandouping (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)
07:00-07:30, sail through the
Qutang Gorge, its towering rock formations have names which reflect their bizarre shapes such as Hanging Monk Rock or Rhinoceros Looking at the Moon.

08:00-09:00, pass the second gorge -
Wu Gorge, celebrated for its lofty Twelve Peaks which almost blot out the sky. The guides will talk about legend of historic sites: Ancient Plank Road, Mengliang Stairway and the suspended coffins on the sheer cliffs.

10:00-13:30, disembark at Badong and take a sampan tour to the picturesque Shennong Stream. The Shennong Stream is a tributary carrying clear, cooler water into the Yangtse. The "stream" runs through steep gorges, in which the ancient asian Bahu people used to live, thousands of years ago. Back to the ship and continue the cruise.

16:00-17:00, pass the
Xiling Gorge. About 66 km long, it is the longest of the Three Gorges and is entirely within Hubei Province. This gorge is full of shoals and rapid currents.

20:00, pass the 5-stage shiplock. Dock overnight at Sandouping.

Day 09 Sandouping - Yichang - Shanghai (Breakfast + Lunch)
08:00-10:00, shore excursion to visit the Three Gorges Dam, it is planned to be by far the largest hydroelectric project in the world. Back to the ship and continue the cruise. Disembarkation in Yichang at about 13:00, Our local guides will get on board to meet you. Transfer to the airport for flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel. Optional program in the evening: the Portman Acrobatic Show or Huangpu River cruise.

Huang Pu River: A tributary of the Yangtze and there is plenty of traffic on it to prove its importance. You'll see the magnificent building skylines on both the historic west side (the Bund), and the modern east side (Pudong) as well as the working area of coal boats filling barges and sending them downriver. It's fun to see such lively river life as well as Shanghai's amazing skyline.
Day 10 Shanghai (Breakfast + Lunch)
Visit the Shanghai Museum, the Yu Yuan Garden, Shanghai Old Street and former French Concession. Have a stroll over the Bund. Optional program in the evening: the Portman Acrobatic Show or Huangpu River cruise.

Shanghai Museum: Shanghai Museum is a treasure house of Chinese cultural essence with a rich collection of 120,000 valuable antique items. Shanghai Museum is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes (bells, knives, axeheads, chariot ornaments), ceramics, Chinese calligraphy and traditional paintings.
Yu Yuan Garden: As the most famous classical garden in Shanghai, Yuyuan is located to the northeast of the old town, not far from The Bund. It was built from 1559 to 1577 during the Ming Dynasty. Each pavilion, hall, stone and stream in the garden is expressing the quintessence of South China landscape design from Ming and Qing Dynasty.
Former French Concession: It is once designated for the French from 1849 to 1946, consisting of today's Luwan and Xuhui Districts. Interesting architecture built with French and Belgian venture investments and showing mixed Chinese-European styles. Today, the area is characterized by quiet, tree-lined avenues, French-style villas, interesting boutiques, lively bars and quaint cafes that are not typical of China.
The Bund: As the architectural symbol of Shanghai, the Bund is on the west bank of Huangpu River and winds one kilometer. The name "the Bund" is derived from an Anglo-Indian term meaning literally Ą°muddy embankmentĄ±. To the west of the Bund, there are 52 magnificent buildings standing in different styles: Rome, Baroque, Gothic, Renaissance, Classic and the combination of Eastern and Western style, most of them were erected before 1937.
