Shanghai Museum: The museum is a treasure house of Chinese cultural essence with a rich collection of 120,000 valuable antique items. Shanghai Museum is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes (bells, knives, chariot ornaments), ancient coins, ceramics, Chinese calligraphy and traditional paintings.
Yuyuan Garden: As the most famous classical garden in Shanghai, Yuyuan is located to the northeast of the old town, not far from The Bund. It was built from 1559 to 1577 during the Ming Dynasty. Each pavilion, hall, stone and stream in the garden is expressing the quintessence of South China landscape design from Ming and Qing Dynasty.
Former French Concession: It is once designated for the French from 1849 to 1946, consisting of today's Luwan and Xuhui Districts. Interesting architecture built with French and Belgian venture investments and showing mixed Chinese-European styles. Today, the area is characterized by quiet, tree-lined avenues, French-style villas, interesting boutiques, lively bars and quaint cafes that are not typical of China.
The Bund: As the architectural symbol of Shanghai, the Bund is on the west bank of Huangpu River and winds one kilometer. The name "the Bund" is derived from an Anglo-Indian term meaning literally "muddy embankment". To the west of the Bund, there are 52 magnificent buildings standing in different styles: Rome, Baroque, Gothic, Renaissance, Classic and the combination of Eastern and Western style, most of them were erected before 1937.

Zhujiajiao: Situated on the bank of the Dianshanhu Lake on the western outskirts of Shanghai, Zhujiajiao covers an area of 47 square kilometers, the little fan-shaped town glimmers like a bright pearl in the landscape of lakes and mountains. With a history of over 1,700 years, this ancient town is known as Shanghai's Venice because of the many canals that run throughout the town.
