1. Tour Itinerary
Upon your arrival of
the Suzhou Railway Station, our guide
will hold a sign to meet you at the
exit. Take sightseeing tour to the Zhuozhengyuan
Garden. Have lunch, take a cruise on
the Grand Canal. Then tour to the Liuyuan
Garden and a Silk
Factory to see how the silk is processed
from worm to the final product.
Garden: As the largest garden in Suzhou, it is the most representative of Chinese classical gardens in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The garden covers 4 hectares, its scenery is focused on a central pond with pavilions, chambers, terraces, and towers located by the water or on hillocks in a natural composition. It was listed as a World Cultural Heritage site in 1997.
Garden: The garden covers an area of 23,310 square meters; it is celebrated for its artistic way of dealing with the spaces between various kinds of architectural form. Buildings make up one third of the total area of the garden, the hall of which being the most remarkable in Suzhou. In 1997, the garden was recorded by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
After breakfast, visit
Wangshiyuan Garden. Then take a rickshaw
and ride through the streets of Suzhou,
see local people's daily life, folk
handicrafts and the ancient buildings.
After lunch, be transferred to the railway
station for your departure, end of service.
Garden: Built in
1174 A.D. during the Song Dynasty, is
characteristic of the most exquisite
garden-houses in Suzhou.
