The garden covers 4 hectares, its scenery is focused on a central pond with pavilions, chambers, terraces, and towers located by the water or on hillocks in a natural composition. It was listed as a World Cultural Heritage site in 1997.
Garden: In 518 B.C. Fu Chai, King of the State of Wu, buried his father here. On top of the Tiger Hill is an imposing structure - the pagoda of the Yun Yan (Cloud Rock) Temple built in 961 A.D. It is listed as one of the special historical sites under State protection. The temple courtyard is the highest point on the hill and commands a good view. With a height of 47.5 meters, the pagoda is one of the oldest in China and has over the years developed a pronounced inclination.
