Tour Itinerary

Day 01 Entry Shanghai
Upon your arrival in
Shanghai, you will be met by our guide and escorted to your hotel.
Day 02 Shanghai (BLD)
Visit the Shanghai Museum, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the Yu Yuan Garden and the Bund. Enjoy the Portman Acrobatic Show in the evening.

Shanghai Museum: The museum boasts over 120,000 pieces of collection, including bronze, ceramics, paintings, calligraphy, sculpture, ancient Chinese coins, jade furniture, and western art.
Oriental Pearl TV Tower: With a height of 1,245 feet, it is one of the tallest structures in Asia.
Yu Yuan Garden: A traditional Chinese park complete with beautiful pavilions, miniature lakes, bridges and rock formations.
The Bund: With a length of 1 km, the bund is dotted with various grandiose solid buildings of western style dating back to the early this century in its west. Due to these imposing buildings, the bund is also reputed as "an international exhibition of architecture".
Day 03 Shanghai - Beijing (BL)
Visit the Jade Buddha Temple. After lunch, transfer to the airport for flight to Beijing. Visit the Summer Palace.

Jade Buddha Temple: Built in 1881, one of the famous Buddhist temples in East China. Here many ancient statues, paintings, a complete set of Buddhist scriptures (printed in the Qing Dynasty), and over 7000 other rare scriptures are kept.
Summer Palace: A magnificent imperial garden, the largest ancient preserved garden in China and a former summer resort for emperors.
Day 04 Beijing (BLD)
Visit the Forbidden City (the Imperial Palace), the Tiananmen Square and the Temple of Heaven. Enjoy the Beijing Duck Dinner and the Peking Opera in the evening.

Forbidden City: Used to be the imperial palace of the Ming (1368 - 1644) and Qing (1616-1911) dynasties.
Tiananmen Square: Tian'anmen was the front gate of the Imperial Palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. In front of the gate is the world's largest open ground in the city - the Tian'anmen Square.
Temple of Heaven: An outstanding representative of Chinese traditional architecture for its clever design and harmoneous colors. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, the emperor came to pray and thank gods for the harvests every year.
Beijing Duck Dinner: The most delicious food Beijing has to offer.
Peking Opera: The most influential and representaive of all operas in China and has a history of about 200 years.

Day 05 Beijing (BL)
Take an excursion to the Badaling Great Wall and the Ming Tombs.

Badaling Great Wall: The best preserved part of the Ming dynasty (1368 - 1644) Great Wall.
Ming Tombs: The mausoleums of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty. The mausoleums have been perfectly preserved.
Day 06 Beijing - Xi'an (BL)
Visit the Yonghegong Lama Temple. Transfer to the airport for flight to Xi'an. Visit the Ancient City Wall.

Yonghegong Lama Temple: A Yellow Hat Tibetan lamasary and one of the city's finest and most celebrated temples. Its 5 main halls and many galleries are filled with exquisitely detailed tanka paintings and beautifully carved or cast Buddha images.
Ancient City Wall: The wall is 15 meters wide and 11.9 kilometers in perimeter, it is the best preserved, oldest and largest ancient city defence system in China.
Day 07 Xi'an (BLD)
Visit the Terracotta Warriors Museum, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Forest of Stone Steles Museum. Enjoy the local speciality Dumpling dinner this evening.

Terracotta Warriors Museum: The most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. It is a sight not to be missed by any visitor to China.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda: The Pagoda was first built in 652 in the Tang Dynasty. Xuanzang, a prominent Buddhist scholar of the time, planned to have a huge stone pagoda built to house the Sanskrit Buddhist scriptures he had brought back from India.
Forest of Stone Steles Museum: The Stele Forest stores voluminous artworks which possess not only eximious value of handwriting and art, but also rich cultural connotation. The Stele Forest began to be built in 1087.

Dumpling: A traditional and popular food with a long history in China. There is a popular saying in China: "There is nothing more delicious than Jiaozi."
Day 08

Xi'an (BLD)
Visit the joint mausoleum of emperor Gaozong and Wu Zetian. Empress Wu Zetian (624 - 705) was the only female monarch of China, and remains the most remarkable, influential and mysterious woman in Chinese history. Also visit Qianling Museum, the Tomb of princess of Yongtai and the Xianyang Terracotta Museum. Enjoy the local speciality
Tang Dynasty Dinner Show this evening.

Tang Dynasty Dinner Show: A performance of Chang'an music and dances that was originated in the Tang dynasty of Chinese history over a thousand years ago.

Day 09 Xi'an - Guilin (BL)
Visit the Shaanxi Provincial History Museum and the Great Mosque. Transfer to the airport for flight to Guilin.

Shaanxi Provincial History Museum: Covers an area of 70,000 square meters, the museum houses a large collection of 113,000 historic and cultural artefacts unearthed in Shaanxi, being an absolute must for every visitor to the city.
Great Mosque: Built in 742 A.D., the mosque was restored in each of the Yuan (1271 - 1368), Ming and Qing Dynasties. The distribution of pavilions, halls, towers and platforms in the mosque is compact and exquisite, blending the traditional architectural styles of Islam and Han.
Day 10 Guilin - Li River Cruise -Yangshuo - Guilin (BL)
Cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo which takes 3-4 hours, enjoy the most beautiful landscape in China, have lunch on board. Disembark your ship when arriving Yangshuo, an ancient small town which famous for beautiful scenery and vast collections of China products. Drive back to Guilin.
Day 11 Guilin - Hongkong (BL)
Tour to the Reed Flute Cave, the Seven Star Park and the Elephant Trunk Hill. Transfer to the airport for flight to
Hongkong.

Reed Flute Cave: The largest and most impressive cave in Guilin, you will see many beautiful stalactites & stalagmites.
Seven Star Park: A beautiful park which covers 120 hectares and includes peaks, rivers, caves, gardens and relics.
Elephant Trunk Hill: Situated majestically at the southeast of Guilin city and west bank of Li River, Elephant Trunk Hill is regarded as the symbol of Guilin landscape.

Day 12 Hong kong (BL)
Visit the Victoria Peak, the Aberdeen, the Stanley Market and Repulse Bay. Free in the afternoon.

Victoria Peak: The views of the harbour and the Kowloon Peninsula from this 373 metres vantage point are simply breath-taking and should not be missed.
Aberdeen: The essence of a Hong Kong tour, a unique opportunity to see the life style of Hong Kong fishing folks.
Stanley Market: Stanley Market has become a Shoppers Paradise for both locals and overseas visitors. Abundant shops and stores sell a wide range of souvenirs, clothing as well as bargain price designer labels.
Repulse Bay: located south of Stanley, is famous for its long, broad beach, its clean water, fresh sand, calm tide and gentle waves, and its popularity with locals and visitors, especially in summer.
Day 13 Hong kong (B)
Free day for your exploration of Hongkong and shopping.
Day 14 Exit (B)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure, end of service.

The hotel is based on two persons sharing one twin or double standard room with private facilities.
2. Meals
Daily American or Chinese breakfast at the hotel, Chinese lunch and dinner in local Chinese restaurant as specified in the itinerary. B - Breakfast, L - Lunch, D - Dinner.
3. Private Transport
Private transport between airport or railway station and hotel and all the sights by air-conditioned vehicle.
4. Transportation between Cities
The economic class air tickets of the domestic flight or soft berth/seat train tickets between cities as specified in the itinerary.
5. Entrance tickets
The main entrance tickets for the sights mentioned.
6. Guiding service
Excellent tour Guiding. All normal sightseeing tours in each city with English-speaking guide and admission fees where applicable. Our guide will not fly with you from one city to another. Upon your arrival at each city, a new local guide and driver will pick you up, be with you for local tour and see you off after you finish the itinerary of each city. The cruise shore excursion is in-group assigned by the cruise company.
7. Insurance
China Life Tourist Accident/Casualty Insurance. We highly recommend that you purchase full coverage travel insurance from you country of origin.

8. Tibet Travel Permit application fee
The Tibet Travel Permit application fee if your tour covers Tibet.

6. Tips to guides and drivers
Suggested tips: USD12 to tour guide per day, USD 8 to driver per day, but depending on their service, it's up to you.
