Heyuan
Garden
He
Garden was designed in the 19th century.
It is located in the south of Yangzhou also
known as "Jixiao Mountain Villa".
Built in the Qing Dynasty, it is one of
the well-known later-day gardens. This small
garden is filled with ponds, pavilions,
rocks and walls inscribed with classical
Chinese poetry. There are also some enchanting
teahouses where visitors can rest and enjoy
the beauty of the park. An interesting feature
of this garden is that around its pool sit
a variety of pavilions that are linked together
to form an architectural belt 430 meter
(1,410ft) in length. This covered walkway
winds through the entire complex and connects
the different buildings.
