Great wall, one of the sixteen scenes of
Beijing, is situated in Huairou County,
north Beijing and is over 70km from downtown
Beijing. Connected with Juyong Gateway on
the west and Gubei Gateway on the east,
it has been considered a northern natural
defence of the division headquarters and
royal tombs since ancient times of the 3000
meter tour section, there are 22 enemy watchtowers.
Seen from the top of the towers, the Great
Wall looks like a huge dragon, winding its
way forward in such a gorgeous and majestic
way.
The whole tourist zone is very
attractive in all seasons. In spring, it
is unique for its beautiful colours, with
various flowers competing each other, peaches
pink and plum's white. In summer, all the
mountains and woods are dressed in an emerald
colour, lush and green. In autumn, you can
enjoy the beatuiful colours of the maple
leaves and a splendid scene of fruit growing
in close clusters.In winter, the pine and
cypress stay green to challenge the snow
with pride.
Right now Mutianyu Great wall
is the focus of world attention. In order
to meet the needs of the tourists, the Great
Wall Tourist Agency has opened up two new
scenic spots-The Chinese Dreaming Stone
Paradise and The Amusement Park with Sounding
Deer and other animals.
