1. Tour Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival
Arrive at Beijing airport or railway station. Our English-speaking tour guide will meet and welcome you at the arrival hall, and then you will be transferred to your hotel for checking in. Remaining day is free at your own leisure.
Day 02 Beijing (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)
Visit Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City (the Imperial Palace) and the Summer Palace. Enjoy the Beijing Duck Dinner. Optional program in the evening: Peking Opera, Kungfu Show or Chinese Acrobatics.

Tiananmen Square: Tiananmen was the front gate of Forbidden City - the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Measuring 880 meters in length and 500 meters in width, Tian'anmen Square is located in the center of Beijing; military parade takes place here on China's National Day.
Forbidden City: The Forbidden City China is a symbol of oriental culture, Established on the basis of the Imperial PaLace of the Ming and Qing dynasties. One cannot be counted as having visited China if he or she has never visited the Forbidden City of China.
Summer Palace: The largest and most famous imperial garden in China which is located in the northwestern outskirts of Beijing. The Summer Palace was first built in 1750 as a summer resort for the emperors in the Qing Dynasty. It was built in order to celebrated Emperor Qianlong's mother's 60th birthday, and survived from several major damages a couple of times in late Qing Dynasty. The most attractive sight in Summer Palace is the Kunming lake. You can take a boat to cruise it in the summer and enjoy skiing on the frozen lake in the winter.
Beijing Duck Dinner: Beijing Roasted Duck is renowned as the most delicious food of Beijing. The duck is hung in the oven and roasted by flame burning from fruit-wood. The finished duck is characteristic with crispy skin, tender meat and the fragrance from the fruit-wood.
Peking Opera: Beijing Opera is deemed the national opera of China. The accompanying music, singing and costumes are full of Chinese cultural facts.
Day 03 Beijing (Breakfast + Lunch)
Take an excursion to the Great Wall and the Ming Tombs.

Great Wall Of China: One of the seven wonders in the world and the symble of China. The Great Wall extends to more than 5,000 kilometers.
Ming Tombs: The Ming Tombs lie in a broad valley to the south of Tianshou Mountain in Changping County, about 50 kilometers northwest of Beijing proper. They are known as the 13 Ming tombs, as 13 out of the 16 Ming emperors were buried there. Construction of the tombs started in 1409 and ended with the fall of the Ming Dynasty in 1644. In over 200 years, tombs were built over an area of 40 square kilometers, which is surrounded by walls totaling 40 kilometers. The Ming Tombs are characterized by its large size, complete system, and intact preservation.
Day 04 Beijing - Jiuzhaigou (Breakfast + Lunch)
Tour to the Temple of Heaven. After lunch, take flight to Jiuzhaigou and transfer to the hotel.

Temple of Heaven: Situadet in the South-Eastern part of Beijing, the Temple of Heaven is the largest still existing sacrificial temple in China. It was used as the site for imperial sacrifices during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It was here that the emperor conducted the elaborate and most exalted sacrifices addressed to "the Supreme Ruler of the Universe" to ask for the heavens blessings and good harvest.
Day 05

Jiuzhaigou (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Visit the Multi-coloured Lake, Nuorilong Fall, Long Lake and the Pearl Beach.

Jiuzhaigou: Jiuzhaigou is actually a huge nature and scenery reserve covering approximately 60,000 hectares situated in the Min Shan mountain range. Yaks, shrines and prayer wheels are all common sights. The small villages here are inhabited by Tibetan and Qiang people who conduct their lives in a very traditional manner. The scenery here is pretty spectacular, lakes and waterfalls spill down the mountainside, mountains tower above small hamlets and villages and there is an abundance of beautiful wildlife too. Panda, monkey and bison exist here and birds and fish are everywhere, nestled in amongst the pretty bamboo forest.

Day 06

Jiuzhaigou - Huanglong - Chengdu (Breakfast, Lunch)
Drive to Huanglong. Visit the Huanglong Monastery and the Multi-coloured Pools with hundreds of steps. Take flight to Chengdu and transfer to the hotel.

Day 07 Chengdu - Zhangjiajie (Breakfast + Lunch)
In the morning, visit the Panda Base. After lunch, explore Jinli Old Street. Transfer to the airport for flight to Zhangjiajie. Your Zhangjiajie local tour guide will meet you at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

Panda Breeding Research Base: The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (hereafter Chengdu Panda Base) is a non-profit organization engaged in wildlife research, captive breeding, conservation education, and educational tourism. The Chengdu Panda Base was founded in 1987, with six giant pandas rescued from the wild. In 2007, the captive population has increased to 62 individuals from that founding population of only six.
Jinli Old Street: It was one of the busiest commercial areas during the Shu Kingdom (221-263). In this street, there are old lanes, traditional-style buildings, teahouses, inns, wine bars, and old official residences. The old-world stores selling lacquer products, folk handicrafts, curios, or calligraphies and paintings of celebrities.
Day 08

Zhangjiajie (Breakfast + Lunch)
After breakfast, we will tour to Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Visit Tianzi Mountain Area (2 hours hiking) - it has stunning views of peaks in grotesque shapes and shrouded in drifting mist. After lunch, explore Yuanjiajie Scenic Area for 2 hours, it is one of the must-see attractions in Zhangjiajie. After the tour, drive back to your hotel.

Day 09 Zhangjiajie - Shanghai (Breakfast + Lunch)
After breakfast, tour to Tianmenshan Mountain - the highest mountain in Zhangjiajie with miraculous and unique geology and unparalleled landscape.
In the evening, you will be transferred to the airport for a 2-hour flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, your Shanghai local tour guide will meet you at the airport and help you to transfer to the hotel.
Day 10 Shanghai (Breakfast + Lunch)
Visit the Shanghai Museum, the Yuyuan Garden, Shanghai Old Street and former French Concession. Have a stroll over the Bund. Optional program in the evening: the Portman Acrobatic Show or Huangpu River cruise.

Shanghai Museum: The museum is a treasure house of Chinese cultural essence with a rich collection of 120,000 valuable antique items. Shanghai Museum is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes (bells, knives, chariot ornaments), ancient coins, ceramics, Chinese calligraphy and traditional paintings.
Yuyuan Garden: As the most famous classical garden in Shanghai, Yuyuan is located to the northeast of the old town, not far from The Bund. It was built from 1559 to 1577 during the Ming Dynasty. Each pavilion, hall, stone and stream in the garden is expressing the quintessence of South China landscape design from Ming and Qing Dynasty.
Former French Concession: It is once designated for the French from 1849 to 1946, consisting of today's Luwan and Xuhui Districts. Interesting architecture built with French and Belgian venture investments and showing mixed Chinese-European styles. Today, the area is characterized by quiet, tree-lined avenues, French-style villas, interesting boutiques, lively bars and quaint cafes that are not typical of China.
The Bund: As the architectural symbol of Shanghai, the Bund is on the west bank of Huangpu River and winds one kilometer. The name "the Bund" is derived from an Anglo-Indian term meaning literally "muddy embankment". To the west of the Bund, there are 52 magnificent buildings standing in different styles: Rome, Baroque, Gothic, Renaissance, Classic and the combination of Eastern and Western style, most of them were erected before 1937.
