Badaling Great Wall: Ancient military defence work. Construction of the Great Wall began during the Spring and Autumn Period to the Warring States Period (770BC-221BC), Badaling is the most famous and most-visited section of the Great Wall in China. Most travelers visit this section when they travel Beijing. This is largely because it is well maintained and provides smooth walking, while Mutianyu, Jinshanling, and the vertiginous Simatai require a full day's outing. A grand view can be enjoyed on top of the fortresses. Look into the distance; there is a sea of lofty mountains and ridges where the Great Wall arises from the clouds and rapidly runs out of sight into the horizon.
Day 03 Mutianyu Great Wall (Breakfast + Lunch box)
After breakfast, drive to the Mutianyu Great Wall. Walk on to the Wall by passing through a bustle market. Climb from the "Heavenly Stairs" to the top of the Wall. Then descend the same route, there are options of a cable car or "slideway" for you to get down the wall. Today's hike is 7 km and takes about 5 hours. After the trekking, transfer to the hotel in Huairou County.

Mutianyu Great Wall: Located among the pines and orchards in the mountains, Mutianyu Great Wall is located 70 km to the north of Beijing. It was first built in the mid-6th century, in 1569, this section of Great Wall was rebuilt, and today most parts of it are well preserved. The Mutianyu Great Wall has the largest construction scale and best quality among all sections of Great Wall.
Day 04

Gubikou Great Wall (Breakfast + Lunch box)
Drive to the Gubikou Great Wall. Have a walk along the picturesque winding wall - built along a mountain range, rising and falling. You will be able to take impressive photos here. Gubikou retains its original bricks and stones from two separate dynasties, well-preserved and unrestored. Today's trek is 12 km and takes about 8 hours. Transfer to the hotel near the Jinshanling Great Wall.

Gubikou Great Wall: This is a wild section of the Great Wall in the mountain range with much history. The first section of this wall was built during the Northern Qi Dynasty (550 - 557). With a length about 40 kilometers, Gubeikou Great Wall has 14 beacon towers, 143 watch towers, 16 pass, three citadels and many other military constructions.

Day 05

Jinshaling Great Wall (Breakfast + Lunch box)
After breakfast, continue your Jinshanling Great Wall hiking today. This section of Jinshanling is a paradise for photographers, the scenery here is breathtaking and fantastic. Shoot the exotic scenery and watch towers along the wall. Today's trek is 7 km and takes about 5 hours. After the trekking, drive back to the hotel in Beijing downtown.

Jinshanling Great Wall: At an elevation of 2100 feet, this section of Great Wall was built on steep mountains. There are fewer tourists but grander views. The Jinshanling Great Wall hasn't been repaired for over 500 years; you will find that most sections are what we call the "Wild Wall". If you are interested in an adventurous experience of the Great Wall, the best choice is Jinshanling!
