Visit the Forbidden
City (the Imperial Palace), the Tiananmen
Square and the Temple of Heaven. Enjoy
the Beijing Duck Dinner and the Peking
Opera in the evening.
Forbidden
City: Also called Palace Museum
and is located at the center of Beijing.
It was the imperial palace during
the Ming (1368 - 1644) and Qing (1616-1911)
dynasties.
Tiananmen
Square: The biggest downtown Square
of the world, it is located in the
heart of urban Beijing and large enough
to accommodate an assembly of one
million people.
Temple
of Heaven: The place where the
ancient emperors used to pray for
the God's bless of the whole nation.
Beijing
Duck Dinner: Beijing Roasted
duck is renowned as the most delicious
food of Beijing.
Peking
Opera: Beijing Opera is deemed
the national opera of China. The accompanying
music, singing and costumes are full
of Chinese cultural facts.

the Badaling Great Wall and the Ming
Tombs.
Badaling
Great Wall: One of the seven wonders

The Great Wall extends to more than
5,000 kilometers.

Tombs: Located 60 Kilometers north
of Beijing, Ming Tombs consist of mausoleums
of 13 Ming emperors. |

Visit the Summer Palace.
Transfer to the airport for flight to
Xi'an.
Summer
Palace: The largest imperial garden
of Ming and Qing dynasty. The whole
Summer Palace covers an area of over
290 hectares including more than 3,000
buildings, such as halls, pavilions,
towers, etc. |

Visit the Terra cotta
Warriors Museum, the Banpo Neolithic
Village Remains and the Big Wild Goose
Pagoda.
Terra
cotta Warriors Museum: The most
significant archeological excavations
of the 20th century. It is a sight not
to be missed by any visitor to China.
Banpo
Neolithic Village Remains: Dating
from about 5,000BC, the remains are
the most complete example of an agricultural
Neolithic settlement in the world.
Big
Wild Goose Pagoda: The Pagoda was
first built in 652 in the Tang Dynasty.
Xuanzang, a prominent Buddhist scholar
of the time, planned to have ahuge stone
pagoda built to house the Sanskrit Buddhist
scriptures he had brought back from
India. |

Xi'an

Visit the Shaanxi Provincial
History Museum, the Forest of Stone
Steles Museum, the Great Mosque and
the Ancient City Wall. Enjoy the local
speciality Dumpling dinner this evening.
Shaanxi
Provincial History Museum: Covers
an area of 70,000 square meters, the
museum houses a large collection of
113,000 historic and cultural artefacts
unearthed in Shaanxi, being an absolute
must for every visitor to the city.
Forest
of Stone Steles Museum: The Stele
Forest stores voluminous artworks which
possess not only eximious value of handwriting
and art, but also rich cultural connotation.
The Stele Forest began to be built in
1087.
Great
Mosque: Built in 742 A.D., the mosque
was restored in each of the Yuan (1271
- 1368), Ming and Qing Dynasties. The
distribution of pavilions, halls, towers
and platforms in the mosque is compact
and exquisite, blending the traditional
architectural styles of Islam and Han.
Ancient
City Wall: The wall is 15 meters
wide and 11.9 kilometers in perimeter,
it is the best preserved, oldest and
largest ancient city defence system
in China.
Dumpling:
A traditional and popular food with
a long history in China. There is a
popular saying in China: "There
is nothing more delicious than Jiaozi."

domestic flight or soft berth/seat train

6. Guiding
service
All normal sightseeing tours in each
city with English-speaking guide and
admission fees where applicable. Our
guide will not fly with you from one
city to another. Upon your arrival at
each city, a new local guide and driver
will pick you up, be with you for local
tour and see you off after you finish
the itinerary of each city. The cruise
shore excursion is in-group assigned
by the cruise company.
